BOSS - Review by Praveen

Ferrari first half and jaguar second half…

Nagarjuna:

The man, who almost handled the movie with single hand, did perfect justification for the role BOSS. He looks extremely handsome and well fits into the role. His costumes were awesome. And his expressions in comedy scenes were exceptionally good. His mannerisms targeted at masses, will click well. On a whole he did justification for the title, which he only deserved

Nayanatara:

She played a character, which is blessed with lot of shades. A smart secretary, who cares for his Boss and his business. She is slim and made a perfect pair with nag. She outperformed in sentiment scenes.

Poonam Bajwa:

She had a small role to play, but a role that twists the second half of the movie. As usual she looks bubbly.

Story:

A decent story, but a pretty average narration.

Screenplay:

Screenplay is very good in the first half, its racy. But slowed down a bit in the second half. Second half is bit lengthy and gives you feel that it was dragged a bit. Proper care on second half screenplay might have changed the range of the movie.

Dialogues:

Chinthapalli Ramana, must be appreciated. He did a good job. Few dialogues got good response from the crowds.

>> Nag (to shayaaji shinde): Number 3 ni kodithe number 3 antaru, namuber 2 ni kodithe number 2 antaaru, ade number 1 ni kodithe number 1 antaru, nenu number 1 ne kodathanu

>> Ananth (referring nag) : Aayana chudataanike class, kodithe mass

>> Nag (to shayaaji shinde) : ee chair lo koorchunte MD ni,bayataki vasthe rowdy ni,overall ga nee kante pedda KD ni.

Comedy :

Comedy is amazingly well. Especially the comedy threads between Ali, Sunil and Dhrmavarapu were good. The episodes between Nag and Brahmanandam were hilarious. One liners by Chinthapalli Ramana generated huge laughter among the crowds.

Music:

Already audio was rocking the charts. But Anoop Rubens, who did background score for this film, did an excellent job.

Photography:

Sensible cameraman Siva Kumar is damn good. He did an excellent job. Especially picturization of songs is very good. He captured the beautiful foreign locations, extreme well.

Art:

Artwork by Anand Sai is good. The color combinations he used for interiors of the office set were extremely good.

Production:

“Never compromise” producer D Shiva Prasad Reddy made this film very lavishly. Every frame is rich

Direction:

V N Adithya, who was blessed twice in his budding career to work with Nagarjuna, again delivered the goods. His directional skills improved a lot when compare to same combo “Nenunnanu”.

Highlights:

1.Nagarjuna’s mannerisms

2.Nagarjuna’s Costumes

3.Nagarjuna’s Performance

4.Nayanatara’s Performance

5.Dialogues

6.Background score.

7.Production values.

8.Racy first half.

9.Sentiment in second half

Drawbacks:

1.Shiriya dies in second half, but reason why she dies cant convinces many people.

2.Placement of Anaganaga song.

3.Climax was little bit stretched.

Verdict:

This movie started off with never before openings allover the state. It will be definite hit in A centers. And can pull crowds in B and C centers for Massive mannerisms of Nag.

My Rating: 8.5/10
